Malev - Hungarian Airlines

Malev Hungarian Airlines is the number one airline for service to Macedonia. Flying via Budapest with connecting flights to Skopje and numerous other central, southern, and eastern European destinations Malev has firmly established itself as the airline of choice for Canadian travellers.

Winning numerous awards including “Airline of the Year”, and “Best Short-Haul Carrier”, Malev continues to upgrade and expand its fleet of aircraft with the recent acquisition of 18 Boeing 737 Next Generation planes. In spite of awards and accolades, Malev understands that its reputation is entirely dependant on the satisfaction of its customers. To this end Malev continually works to provide the best experience from booking flights through to landing at the final destination. In December 2003, an online booking option was established (www.malev.com) to facilitate flight planning and ticket purchase. The site has now expanded to include the option to book hotels, car rentals, and even shop for souvenirs! Effective September 2006, e-ticketing will be available for the Toronto flights as well.

Malev continually reviews and restructures its pricing structures, providing passengers competitive and flexible fares and, for only a small additional fee, upgrades to Business Class. Business Class offers all the extra service and comfort you would expect including wide leather seats, dinner selection from three main courses, cheese platters, fruit baskets, cakes, and a fine selection of premium quality Hungarian wines. All served on fine china and cutlery.

Budapest’s airport is a traveller’s delight, small enough to get around, making flight connections quick and simple, but large enough to provide comfort and convenience for both business travellers and families. For travellers wishing to break their journey with a stay in Budapest Malev offers free stopovers on all fares. Budapest’s spectacular setting on the Danube, with the commercial section on one side of the river and the beautiful green hills of Buda rising on the other, creates one of the most romantic vistas in the whole of Europe. The city’s wide range of theatres, restaurants, museums, hotels and spas rival the best in the world, while its perfectly preserved architecture is a history lovers dream.

2006 sees Malev Hungarian Airlines celebrating over 60 years in the sky, and 12 years serving Toronto with connections to Skopje started in 1999, Malev now offers five flights per week in the summer, and 2/3 flights in the winter. The airline serves more than 60 cities in 35 countries with its fleet of 29 planes.

Frequent flyers are invited travellers to join the airline’s “Duna Club”. Travellers earn points for every flight, which may be redeemed for free travel. In 2007 Malev will officially become part of the OneWorld Alliance, joining British Airways, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Quantas, Finnair, and Iberia. This alliance will provide an enormous range of additional destinations, flexibility and choice to Malev’s, and “Duna Club” customers.

Providing a wide range of destinations, award winning service, comfortable and reliable aircraft, and a commitment to outstanding customer service, Malev continues to satisfy its customers and increase its market position. For your next trip to Macedonia or other destination in Europe and Asia book Malev Hungarian Airlines, and treat yourself to a firstclass travel experience.
